Renovation of an educational facility in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Interior Repainting at Hannum Elementary School - 9800 S Tripp Ave Oak Lawn, IL 60453 This project titled "Interior Paintingi consist of the following major elements: 1. Selective interior wall and frame preparation; 2. Interior painting work; 3. All other work indicated on the drawings and in the project manual for this project. Construction Work shall commence on or about June 17, 2024. Substantial Completion shall be achieved by August 9, 2024, for all work. Final completion shall be achieved not later than 15 working days beyond substantial completion A. Provide all work and materials in compliance with the intent of drawings and specifications. B. Provide all work, coordination, and responsibility for the proper location of utilities affected by the work. C. Attend weekly coordination meetings as required by the Owner. D. Provide all layout work required for proper execution of work under your respective bid package. E. Provide labor for cleanup of debris and waste associated with your bid package. Contractor shall reimburse Owner or Owner for any failure to cleanup debris or waste associated with their work. F. Provide all labor and materials as called for in the specification sections assigned to your bid package. (Note in the INDEX those sections that apply to ALL bid packages.) G. Comply with scheduling requirements issued by the Owner. H. If a contractor bidding any of the packages contemplates the usage of overtime for their crews, that contractor shall include the cost of premium time and associated costs for other contractors affected by the overtime schedule, and any associated construction management costs. I. Parking for workers shall be as designated by the Owner. Site access shall be as arranged and designated by the Owner. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid bond in a form acceptable to the School Board, cashiers check, or certified check made payable to School District 123 in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract shall be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of School District 123 for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids The successful Bidder of the construction of the improvement will be required to file a performance and payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract, with sureties to be approved by the Architect, which performance bonds shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the contract: and also that the successful Bidder, now the Contractor, shall properly pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the work, including those for labor and material furnished for himself and all of his subcontractors. The bonding company shall have a minimum rating of iA- IXi in accordance with Bestis Key Rating Guide n Latest Edition. The Contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance to indemnify School District 123 against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of the Contractor or Subcontractors, or their officers, agents, employees or servants, during the construction of said improvement and until the said improvement has been finally accepted as complete by the School District 123. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids. BID PACKAGE #1 n PAINTING - A. Furnish and install all painting as indicated on the Drawings and as specified. Final finish coat on all items to be completed only after completion and acceptance of preparation and priming of surfaces n as signed off on by the Owner. B. Exposed piping to be painted shall be cleaned prior to painting. C. Exposed light fixtures, devices, diffusers, etc. which are to remain shall be protected prior to painting. D. Painting of new and existing surfaces includes, but is not limited to, the following: a. Existing concrete masonry units. Patch all existing walls prior to painting; b. Existing gypsum board walls. Patch all areas prior to painting; c. Hollow metal doors and frames. d. Metal window trims at interior doors. e. Exposed conduits, piping, and wire mold on walls. E. Include painting touchups at completion of job, prior to Owner occupancy. Touchups will be completed all at one time as scheduled by the Owner. Include 16 manhours of touchups to be used at the Owners discretion . Include 2 gallons of each paint type and color for touchups.
