Proposed work is for pipe bursting approximately 900 linear feet of 6-inch and 8-inch sewer, digging and replacing approximately 1,800 linear feet 8-inch sewer, railroad bore with approximately 220 linear feet of 16 inch steel casing, replace approximately 15 manholes, rehabilitate 3 manholes, 360 linear feet 8-inch water line, 120 linear feet of 6-inch water line, 150 tons asphalt paving, erosion and sediment control best management practices and appurtenances Work to Be Done: The work to be performed by the General Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following major items: 1. 8-inch pipe bursting 2. 8-inch gravity sewer 3. 16-inch steel casing 4. Manholes 5. 6-inch and 8-inch water line 6. Asphalt paving 7. Erosion Control Best Management Time allotted for construction is 180 consecutive calendar days All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of Social Circle, Georgia, in the amount of at least 5% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for Social Circle, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Social Circle, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
