Request for Proposals for Abatement and Remediation of Asbestos, Mold and Lead Paint Removal, Demolition and Debris Removal The City of Social Circle is accepting proposals for the abatement and remediation of Asbestos, Mold, Lead Paint, Debris, and Demolition in three Downtown Buildings. The City of Social Circle is seeking professional services (professional) to successfully perform demolition and to remove and dispose of materials containing asbestos, mold, and lead paint at three commercial buildings. The professionals shall obtain all applicable permits, licenses, etc. that may be required by Federal, State, County, and City law to furnish services under the scope of this project. This shall include obtaining necessary permits from the Walton County Health Department and The City of Social Circle for each structure. The professional shall be a certified Asbestos Removal/Mold/Lead Paint company with an active certification in the State of Georgia. The professional shall also be a licensed asbestos abatement contractor with the Health Department in the County they are licensed in. Proposals will be reviewed by the City and will be awarded the proposal most advantageous to the City. A copy of the proposal tabulation will be provided upon request. Qualifications Firms must have experience identifying asbestos and hazardous materials and with the abatement requirements of federal, state, and local laws. They must also demonstrate they have the equipment, personnel, expertise, and ethical standards to perform the work. Proposal Instructions and Format Please include the following items in any Proposal submitted in response to this RFP: 1. Experience Qualifying Experience. Brief history of the professional including any fields of expertise, and previous experience with jobs of similar scope. List a minimum of Two (2) asbestos/mold/ lead paint removal projects similar in scope including current contact information of owner/client for reference checks. 2. Litigation Provide a list of any litigation in which the Firm, Managing Principal and/or Abatement Professional(s) is named a party. 3. Proposed Work Plan/Schedule Include projected completion date. 4. Certifications and/or Licenses Professional must possess and submit with this bid all valid certification and/or licenses required by federal, state and county laws at the time of submittal and for the length of the project. 5. Certificate of Liability Insurance Professionals must submit proof of liability insurance in an amount of at least $1M. If the professional is awardedthe contract for this project, a certificate of liability insurance. listing The City of Social Circle as an additional insured will be required. 6. Bid Form Each professional submitting a Proposal in response to this RFP acknowledges and agrees. that The City of Social Circle shall be allowed to keep any and all materials submitted by the professional regarding this RFP. Each professional agrees to hold The City of Social Circle harmless against any expenses, damages, and claims arising from or connected with your proposal, including patent, trademarks, copyright, or other intellectual property infringement or misappropriation. The City of Social Circle reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to alter the selection process in any way, to postpone the selection process for either party's own convenience at any time, and to waive any defects in proposals submitted. The City of Social Circle reserves the right to issue addenda to this RFP at any time due to the need for clarification, change in schedule, or other reasons the parties so decide. The City of Social Circle reserves the right to accept or reject any individual sub-consultants that the successful respondent proposes to use.
