Renovation of a residential development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
- Project Summary: Lift HVAC equipment as required. Remove and dispose of coping caps, stone ballast, and EPDM membrane. Examine insulation. Remove and replace any wet insulation. Overlay existing insulation with 1 %" polyisocyanurate. Loose lay 60 mil, EPDM membrane over polyisocyanurate. Adhere seams with 6" splice tape. Fully adhere EPDM membrane at wall and curb locations. Terminate flashings as shown on section details. Distribute new stone ballast over the roof at a rate of 10-12 Ib/sq. ft. Install new sheet metal items including coping caps, counterflashing, scuppers, and downspouts. New roofing work shall include all detail and related work as described in these specifications, required per applicable building codes, mandated by the roof system manufacturer, and reasonably implied to result in a complete finished, approved and warranted roof system. Job location- City of Milwaukee Housing Authority 5125 Lisbon Avenue Milwaukee, Wl 53210 Work Schedule- Start Date 05/01/2024 End Date 06/29/2024 A mandatory pre-bid inspection for prospective bidders is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024. We will meet promptly at 1:00 PM at the Central Support West facility, 5125 West Lisbon Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53210. We will gather on the west side of the building on 52nd Street, at the entrance to the upper level of the attached parking structure. If prospective bidders cannot attend this scheduled mandatory pre-bid inspection, then prospective bidders may contact Glen Radford of the Housing Authority, glen.radford@hacm.org, 414-209-1803, to arrange an alternate date and time for a mandatory inspection of the site before submitting a bid. Any bid submitted by a bidder that did not attend a prebid inspection will be rejected. Technical questions regarding the plans, specifications, and scope of work may be directed to Mr. Radford. Administrative questions regarding bidding and contract requirements may be directed to Tim Hoye of Travaux/Housing Authority, tim.hoye@travauxinc.com, 414-209-1807. Administrative questions specifically about Emerging Business Enterprises (EBE) and Section 3 requirements may be directed to Konita Jude of the Housing Authority, kpjude@hacm.org, 414-286-2940. The Housing Authority will assist bidders/contractors in developing a plan to comply with EBE and Section 3 requirements. Where appropriate, the bidder must comply with Executive Order 11246, Federal Labor Standards, Equal Opportunity requirements, and related program requirements as detailed in the Contract Documents. This contract opportunity is a Section 3 Covered Contract, and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to respond. MBE (8%), WBE (6.9%)
