Renovation of a museum in Thomaston, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The project consists of the restoration of the historic surfaces of the coffers, beams and cove that comprise the Opera House Auditorium ceiling. Restoration of the historic finishes includes the following materials: historic plaster, stenciled and hand-painted decorative painting, and metallic finishes. Restoration includes consolidation of existing plaster, cleaning of the ceiling coffers, beams and cove, and a combination of conservation and replication in areas that are damaged beyond the scope of conservation. An alternate of replication only in lieu of conservation and new work is requested for the ceiling coffers and cove. The Town of Thomaston shall receive BIDS electronically on March 29, 2024 no later than 3:00 p.m. to TOHCeilingRestoration@pbbarchitect.com Owner reserves the right to accept any submittal or reject any submittal and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the submittal.
