Reference Number 0000344610 Job Location: West St Paul Street & Grand River Avenue The City of Brighton, Michigan desires to employ the services of a contractor, or contractors, to repair cracks and coat a concrete wall and steps. Question Acceptance Deadline 03/22/2024 04:00 PM EDT All questions must be submitted via email (shraderb@brightoncity.org) Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % As part of your bid response, it will be required to provide bid security. The bid security must be a certified check or bid bond made out to the City of Brighton for Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid, in a form approved by the City Attorney. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in part or whole and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids received. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS / SCOPE OF WORK Perform repairs to cracks in the concrete wall and stairs. Grout and seal wall and step cracks with a urethane sealant. Apply sealant to the control joints in the wall and in two locations where the wall meets the stairs. Power wash wall and steps for additional sealant preparation. Apply two (2) coats of Masterseal 58I (formerly Thorocoat) to all exposed portions of the wall and steps. Price will include all materials and labor to complete the entire project. Schedule must be submitted, and project timeframe will be agreed upon with the City to ensure timely completion. The contractor is responsible for maintaining sidewalk safety conditions during project work times, including the time when the area needs to be closed off for curing or drying. The contractor is responsible for all pedestrian safety signage and/or sidewalk closure signage needed. The contractor is responsible for daily cleanup and removal of debris at completion of project. The closing of St. Paul Street is not permitted, although parking spaces adjacent to the pocket park will be available for use during work hours. All parking spaces will need to be available when work is not being performed on site
