Renovation of an educational facility in Beaumont, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This envelope renovation project will require a full demolition/abatement of the existing brick, removal of all windows, curtain walls, extending the brick ledge around the building perimeter, creating a new insulated/waterproofed wall cavity, extending the roof ledge to accommodate the new brick depth, and installing a multi-brick blend. The project also consists of a new 100KV generator which will be installed along with a newly enclosed mechanical yard, the existing chemical storage building will be replaced, structural supports will be added to account for the new brick and curtainwall systems, new solid surface windowsills, interior finish patches, and mini blinds will be added to the interior window areas. The project will also include upgrades to the ramps leading into the East & West entrances, new handrails, and exterior drainage improvements. Scopes of work include Division One - General Requirements, Division 2 - Existing Conditions, Division 3 - Concrete, Division 4 - Masonry, Division 5 - Metals, Division 6 - Wood and Plastics, Division 7 - Thermal and Moisture Protection, Division 8 - Doors and Windows, Division 9 - Finishes, Division 10 - Specialties, Division 12 - Furnishing, Division 22 - Plumbing, Division 23 - HVAC, Division 26 - Electrical, Division 31 - Earthwork, Division 32 Exterior Improvements, Division 33 - Utilities. All questions should be addressed to Matt Ueding by email at mattu@setexconstruction.com and must be submitted no later than 5PM CST on Friday, March 8, 2024. SETEX and Lamar University will consider the following items as "Selection Criteria" in determining the successful proposer. 1. The reputation of the proposer and the proposer's goods or services 2. The quality of the proposer's goods and services. 3. The impact on the relationship with SETEX and Lamar. 4. The extent to which the goods or services meet Lamar's needs. 5. The purchase price. 6. The total long-term cost to Lamar to acquire the proposer's goods or services. 7. The impact on the ability of Lamar to comply with the laws and rules relating to historically underutilized businesses. 8. Any other relevant factor that a private business entity would consider in selecting a vendor. SETEX Construction Corp. and Lamar University reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and waive all formalities as deemed necessary. Each proposal submitted agrees that the proposer will not withdraw its proposal for a period of Ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals, and once proposal is accepted, they will enter into a formal subcontract or purchase order agreement with SETEX Construction Corp.
