The Base Bid of this project includes resurfacing of roads totaling 3.3 miles (46,200 SY) and 4,200 SY of parking areas using approximately 6,530 tons of 9.5 MM asphalt (leveling and wearing courses), 100 tons of 25 MM asphalt, 3,350 gallons of tack coat, 400 SY for base repair, 24,000 SY road milling, and 50,500 feet of road and parking lot line painting. Bid Alternates are included for an additional 6,900 SY of 3 parking lots of using 930 tons of 9.5 MM asphalt (leveling and wearing courses), 500 gallons of tack coat, and 1,400 feet of parking lot line painting. The selection will be based on the lowest Base Bid. The minimum wage requirements as determined by the PA Dept of Labor & Industry shall apply to this project. PA DOT prequalification of bidders, including subcontractors for the proposed work is required on this project. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the base bid. Liquidated damages in the amount of $100 per day assessed if contract not completed on time. Non-collusion affidavit to be submitted with contract. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Late Proposals will not be accepted or considered. You must follow all instructions on the attached set of bid specifications.
