Renovation of a municipal facility in Johnson City, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,526-square-foot municipal facility.
PROJECT: Renovations to Johnson City Transit Building Johnson City, Tennessee Johnson City Bid No. 6747 BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Renovate approximately 1,526 square feet of the existing Johnson City Transit Building. Work includes demolition, new finishes, new doors and hardware, new partitions, casework, mechanical and electrical. The envelope containing the Contractor's Bid must have the following information on the outside of the envelope: the Project Title, the Architect, and reference the project title and "Johnson City Bid No. 6747". Additional bid envelope requirements are listed below. Any bid not meeting these requirements may be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Bid Envelope Form to be attached to the envelope containing the Bid is included in Section 00 41 10. All Bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6) of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. A bid will not be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the Contractor's license number, the date of the license's expiration, a quotation of that part of his classification applying to the bid, and monetary limits. The HVAC, plumbing, electrical, geothermal and masonry subcontractor's name, license number, date of the license expiration and that part of each classification applying to the bid if value of work is $25,000 or greater ($100,000 or greater for masonry); if value of the subcontractor's work is less than $25,000 ($100,000 for masonry), the bid envelope is to include the subcontractors name followed by the phrase "Subcontractor's Bid Is Less Than $25,000" ($100,000 for masonry) after each appropriate heading. If a particular subcontractor will not be utilized this project, insert "None Required" or "NA". A five percent (5%) Bid Security is required. The successful Contractor shall be required to produce a Performance Bond, Material and Labor Bond and Insurance as required by the contract documents and enter into a contract with the Owner. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of the Bid Bond. Non-discrimination policy applies to this project. Five percent (5%) Bid Security, General Contract Form, Insurance Checklist, Drug Free Workplace Affidavit, Acknowledgment of Requirements/Iran Divestment Act /Non-Boycott of Israel Act Form, and a copy of the Bidder's State Contractor's License must be completed and returned with bid package. Additionally, the following documents from the Federal and State Requirements for Building Rehab Projects document must be completed and returned with bid package: Bidder's Document Checklist, Minority Status Bidders List Information (DBE Form), Small Business Participation Form (Parts A and B), and the Lobbying Certification. A bidder may not withdraw a bid submitted until a period of sixty (60) days has elapsed from the time of the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid or bids that are judged to be in the best interest of the Owner. Questions must be received by the Designer at least six calendar days before the bid opening date
