Project scope of work consists full-depth reclamation, roadway leveling and a 2" overlay and associated prep work for overlay of Cartref Road and Rossville Road. Additionally, a 2" overlay for Zinn Drive. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this contract. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Each Contractor shall furnish a surety bond in an amount to 100 percent of the contract for faithful PERFORMANCE; a separate surety bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract for the payment of LABOR and MATERIALS; and a separate MAINTENANCE bond in an amount equal to 25% of the total contract price up to $200,000; plus 10% above $200,000. The PERFORMANCE AND LABOR AND MATERIALS bonds are to continue in effect for a period of one (1) year after final payment. The MAINTENANCE bond is to continue in effect for a period of two (2) years after the date of completion, approval and acceptance of the entire work. Work shall not commence under this contract until each of the above bonds have been obtained.
