As of October 16, 2024, a consultant has been selected for this solicitation. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2028. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: (1) - Route 173, CR 513 (Pittstown Rd) to CR 626 (Beaver Ave) (Design H-1 Level A & T-1 Level A) Each firm participating in the Joint Venture must be prequalified by the NJDOT The Preliminary Preferred Alternative (PPA) proposes to upgrade traffic signal at intersection of Center Street including adding crosswalks and pedestrian signal, improving RT 173 westbound through-lane alignment by minor widening of the approach to the intersection, and removal or modification of the corner island. At the intersection of Leigh Street, the improvements include tightening the curb radii on the northeast and southeast corner to facilitate new curb ramp to include addition of 4th crosswalk on the eastern intersection. The improvements also include the addition of approximately 2700 feet of sidewalk at multiple locations, upgrade approximately 1500 feet of guide rail, and resurface approximately one (1) mile of roadway.
