This request is for HVAC Services, for various locations for the Housing Rehabilitation Programs Division of the Community Development Department. The Lafayette Consolidated Government is requesting quotes for labor and material for the following HVAC work: 1. Demolition of old units including ducts, registers and plenum 2. Installation of the specified new units must be conducted as follows: a. Complete HVAC unit containing: condenser and evaporator with new plenum, ducts, thermostat, registers (10) and exterior pad for unit. b. Installation: in attic or closet VOJ. (Decks in attic or closets will be provided by LCG.) c. Connections: LCG-provided electrical disconnects and/or gas supply lines. Bidder must must communicate any exceptions to the specifications. Prices quoted are to be held for a period of one year with the option to renew for one additional year. NOTE: Any questions regarding the technical specifications or quote process shall be addressed to Keirston St. Amant kstamant@lafayettela.gov. Only questions in writing shall be addressed. Please include in the email's subject line - Questions - Annual Rehab Contracts - HVAC Services. In the event a bid is awarded for the amount of $50,000 or more, the successful vendor shall be required to provide a performance and payment bond for 100% of the amount of the purchase order before work can begin. Said bond shall be listed on the U.S. Department of Treasury Financial Management Service List of approved bonding companies, which is published annually in the Federal Register Circular No. 570, showing an underwriting limitation sufficient to cover 100% of the purchase. Any bidder not furnishing bid security when required, may cause rejection of said bid. The successful bidder's bid security SHALL EQUAL FIVE PERCENT (5%) of the bid price OR THE AMOUNT SPECIFICED IN THE NOTICE TO BIDDERS, and will be retained until a satisfactory contract has been entered into between the bidder and the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government. The Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government reserves the right to hold the certified checks, cashier's checks, bank money orders, or bid bonds of the three (3) lowest bidders until the successful bidder has entered into a contract.
