DESCRIPTION Advertisement for Bids ACWA Waterline Replacements Beech Grove Lane The Anderson County Water Authority (ACWA) will be soliciting bids for the Waterline Replacements Beech Grove Lane project in Anderson County, Tennessee. The project is a public works project, intended to better serve the customers of ACWA by replacing deteriorating waterline with new, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waterline. The project involves the installation of approximately 5,400 linear feet (L.F.) of 2-inch waterline and approximately 11,000 L.F. of 6-inch waterline (PVC and Ductile Iron), to the parameters generally shown in the plans, and in accordance with the specifications. The project also involves installing new water services and reconnecting existing services, as well as two creek crossings using both bridge attachment and open-cut methods. This project is being supported with the American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. In accordance with the Contract Documents, documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications shall be provided and submitted. Subcontractors must also not appear on Sam.gov disbarment list. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of the Anderson County Water Authority.
