Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 18,740-square-foot theater / auditorium.

Broadway St. Public Works Building, Suite 830 Los Angeles, CA 90015 E-MAIL: marcus.yee@lacity.org The deadline for receipt of written technical questions is March 27, 2024 At a historic theater in San Pedro: General renovations and tenant improvements, including ADA access and egress Restroom upgrade with ADA accessibility New elevator for accessibility access stage lift VIP lounge with wheelchair lift front staff office with break room HVAC, electrical & Fire Life Safety system upgrades. Complete renovation & restoration of various historic elements, including but not limited to: exterior façade entry foyer historic ceilings, walls, columns, pilasters, flooring, railings & other historic artifacts. Improvement & expansion of concession stand at Lobby area upgrade IT network & building security systems. General renovations and tenant improvements, including ADA access and egress, restroom upgrade with ADA accessibility, new elevator for accessibility access, stage lift, VIP lounge with wheelchair lift, front staff office with break room, HVAC, electrical, and Fire Life Safety system upgrades. Complete renovation and restoration of various historic elements, including but not limited to: exterior façade, entry foyer, historic ceilings, walls, columns, pilasters, flooring, railings, and other historic artifacts. Improvement and expansion of concession stand at Lobby area and upgrade IT network and building security systems. At the time of bid, the contractor must possess a valid State of California Contractors License Classification of A or B licenses. The Escrow Bid Documents shall be submitted to the Board of Public Works Office, by the three (3) low Bidders, in sealed containers, within forty-eight (48) hours after the time for receipt of Bids. The containers shall be clearly marked on the outside with the Bidders name, date of submittal, project name and the words Escrow Bid Documents. This project is subject to the provisions of the City's Local Business Preference Program. Administrative Code Section 10.25 adopted the LBP Program which was designed to increase local employment and expenditures in the local private sector. Businesses that qualify as a LBEs may be granted an eight percent reduction of their bid amount solely for bid evaluation purposes. If the LBE is also a Local Small Business (LSB) and/or Local Transitional Employer (LTE), they may be granted an additional two percent reduction for each of those certifications, up to a total of 12.00 percent. Businesses that qualify as a LBE, but neither as a LSB and/or a LTE, may be granted a 1.00 percent reduction, up to a maximum of 2.00 percent for each of those certifications, for every 10.00 percent of their bid that is to be performed by a LSB and/or a LTE subcontractor. Additionally, all non-LBE businesses may be granted a 1.00 percent reduction, up to a maximum of 5.00 percent, of their bid amount solely for bid evaluation purposes, for every 10.00 percent of their bid that is to be performed by a LBE, LSB, and/or a LTE subcontractor. This project is subject to the provisions of the Department of Public Works Project Labor Agreement in Part IV of the Bid Proposal.
