Question Deadline 03/15/2024 This work shall consist of removing a portion of the existing asphalt concrete or Portland cement concrete surface course, picking up, truck hauling to a final stockpile location within the City of Pierre (final determination of stockpile location to be made by the City Engineer), and then stockpiling the removed material. Stockpiling methods shall be to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. CONSTRUCTION A. General 1. The surface shall be removed by cold milling with the specified equipment, without the use of heat. 2. The work shall be performed only during daylight hours. 3. Asphalt concrete placement shall begin within 14 days following cold pavement milling. 4. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintenance of the milled area between the milling operation and paving operations. If street is eroded due to rainfall and lawn watering, the Contractor shall repair the street. If the street needs to be repaired, the Contractor shall repair the street and the City will pay for the mix
