Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bay City, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,207-square-foot restaurant; for site work for a 3,207-square-foot restaurant; pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The Project consists of, but is not limited to, construction of a 3,207 SF Food Panrty. It will include the following types of work: Concrete, Pre-Engineered Metal Building, Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Site Grading, Site Paving, Flooring, Painting Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Contractor's Mobilization & Demobilization (= 2.5% of Bid) 2. Food Pantry including pre-engineered metal building, foundation and all trade installations (excluding cooler and freezer) in the building and within five (5) feet of the foundation line. 3. Site built walk in cooler 10 x 20 x 8' 2 1/4 " overall height, no floor, condenser, evaporator, and refrigerant line. 4. Site built walk in freezer 10 x 20 x 8' 2 1/4 " overall height, no floor, condenser, evaporator, and refrigerant line. 5. Exterior water and sewer installations 6. Exterior electrical wire, conduit, transformer and appurtenant items 7. Site grading inside property boundary 8. Site paving (concrete, reinforcement, placement, and finishing) inside the property boundary marked on plans: DI-1 (14,485sf) & DI-2 (10,120sf) 9. Allowance for preparation of an approved of security plan and installation of required components. Alternates: 1. Paving (concrete, reinforcement, placement, and finishing) outside the property boundary marked on plans as ALTERNATE 1 (4,191sf) 2. Site grading outside property for ALTERNATE 1 paving Please submit questions for this project seven (7) days prior to bid opening through www.civcastusa.com in the Q&A portal. All addenda issued for this project will be posted on www.civcastusa.com. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding to use proper scaling, paper width and length, etc. Failure to do so may result in error in the Unit Bid Quantities and/or Bid Amounts. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the owner or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Performance Bonds - State law requires all prime contractors which enter into a formal contract in excess of $100,000 with the State, a county, or a municipality; a department, board, or agency of the state, a county, or a municipality; and a school district or a subdivision thereof, to obtain a Performance Bond in the amount of the contract before commencing with work. Payment Bonds- State law requires all prime contractors which enter into a formal contract with the State, a county, or a municipality; a department, board, or agency of the state, county, or a municipality; and a school district or a subdivision thereof, to furnish to the governmental entity a payment bond in the amount of the contract. The payment bond must be filed within 30 days from the date of the Notice of Award: Municipalities: If the contract is in excess of $50,000, a payment bond is required. Counties: If the contract is in excess of $25,000, a payment bond is required. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) program, project number 70800001010, and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate as issued by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and contained in the contract documents must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts. Estimate: $950,000 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
