The Turner County Airport Authority is seeking bids to clear all trees that are currently affecting FAA requirements for clear approach visuals to runways 17 and 35. The scope of the work will be to cut and lay down all trees within the determined area to include 150 feet from the fence line on runway 17 to Ashburn Sewage Treatment plant. This also includes topping a single tree on the runway 35 approach. This also includes topping a single tree on the runway 35 approach. The purpose is to bring Turner County Airport(75J) into compliance with established FAA safety guidelines. Special attention and handwork will be required to operate in sensitive wetland areas. Once initial compliance has bee accomplished a separate bid for a once-a-year service to maintain those standards is required.
