the Governing Board of the Solano Community College District ("District") is inviting sealed bids for the Fairfield Campus Campus-Wide Interior Refresh (Phase 1) Technical questions must be submitted, in writing by no later than 2:00 p.m. on, Friday, March 29th, 2024 to Andrew Gleeson via email at Andrew.Gleeson@solano.edu. An independent site visit must also be conducted by potential bidders during the bidding period. The Project consists of: a. All labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the completion of the entire scope of work as outlined in the contract documents. Includes all associated civil, architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and/or low voltage work as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. b. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to; removal and replacement of all interior restroom finishes (including, but not limited to, wall and tile finishes, restroom fixtures, toilet accessories, toilet partitions, and painting), converting all single occupancy restrooms to All Gender Restrooms, upgrade lighting for the restrooms and compliance with current T-24, verify HVAC for restrooms is operational and specify duct cleaning, and provide District Standard signage for all restrooms. Scope also includes removal and replacement of existing drinking fountains and reconfiguring of restrooms for ADA compliance within the existing spaces including some wall removal where required to meet accessibility requirements. c. Contractor shall provide protection for all existing surfaces affected by construction scope and temporary wall barriers/ entrances to each construction area. d. Contractor shall include safe-off of all utilities, including but not limited to all electrical, fire alarm, data, security, and plumbing as needed to complete the project scope. e. The scope of this project is further defined in the Contract Documents. The Contractor will provide all security fencing, safety barriers, portable toilets, and debris bins per the Contract Specifications. Multiple relocations of site fencing/ safety barriers may be required for the completion of this project. All campus pedestrian access shall be maintained, and existing buildings shall remain functional during the duration of the project. f. This project shall be phased per Specification Section 01 32 13 Scheduling of Work. Base Scope of Work must be completed before beginning Alternate(s) Scope of Work (if Alternate(s) are accepted). g. If Contractor is unable to meet Base Bid Scope Schedule, they shall perform the remaining work on nights and weekends.
