**As of April 15, 2024, the project was awarded to Proline Fence for the base bid amount of $109,038.00.** This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Installing an 8 ft. tall, chain link fence at approximately 850 ft. long. Fence includes the installation of three 30 ft. cantilever gates and one 12 ft. swing gate. Two of the cantilever gates will be motorized. The fabric material will be #9 gauge galvanized chain link with 2 in. openings. The line posts will be 2 in. galvanized pipe, the end posts will be 3 in. galvanized pipe and the gate posts will be 4 in. galvanized pipe. All fence posts will be held in place with concrete. 2024 Fence Improvements Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the Amount of Ten (10) Percent Of the Total Bid Amount, Made Payable to Antioch Township Highway Department Shall Accompany the Bid. The Township Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and Bidders and to Waive All Technicalities. This Work is Subject to the Wage Provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 Ilcs 130/0/01 Et Seq. And the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 Ilcs 265/1 Et Seq Relative to Prevailing Wages of Laborers, Mechanics, and Other Workers Employed in Any Public Works as Amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. Factors Other Than Price Which Will Be Considered in Awarding or Rejecting Bids Shall Include the Results of Reference Contacts, and the Quality of the Bidder's Performance on Prior Township Projects, if Any, in the Judgment of the Township Board and Township Staff. All Bids Submitted Shall Be Valid for a Period of One Hundred Twenty (120) Days.
