Site work for a water / sewer project in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement of prevailing wage requirements by the California Department of Industrial Relations and the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed in a bid for a public works project and no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR per California Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under California Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)] A Class "A" California Contractors License is required to bid. ESTIMATED COST$11,000,000 and $12,000,000 The objective of the project is to rehabilitate existing 3'x5' brick sewers via cured in place liner installation, spray mortar, and sliplining on Franklin, Grove, Haves, Laguna, McAllister, Oak, Page, Polk, Scott, and Sutter Street. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The Engineer's estimate is between $11,000,000 and $12,000,000. The contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B and Section 2.01 of Attachment 1. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 6.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. The LBE sub participation requirement for this contract is below 20% because majority of the work is specialty work done by a specialty contractor such as the installation for cured-in-place liner where general subcontractors with LBE status cannot do the work SFPUC-LBEs cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). Prime and Joint Venture level LBE participation cannot be counted towards meeting any of the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). LBE subcontractors must be certified with in the scope of work they are being listed to perform. All Bidders shall submit documented Good Faith efforts with their Bids as directed on Form 2B, except those who exceed the above-stated subcontracting requirement(s) by at least 35%. Refer to Attachment 1. Failure to comply with Chapter 14B requirements may result in a Bid being deemed non-responsive and ineligible for Contract award. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: saw-cutting, paving, excavation, traffic control, and concrete work.
