Question Submission Deadline: March 11, 2024, 12:00pm The purpose of this solicitation is to competitively obtain bids to acquire supplies, services or equipment which complies with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for Richland School District Two for the following project: Fermod(R) Mobile Shelving and Installation at Windsor Elementary, 23-2434. Drug-Free Work Place Certification By submitting an Offer, Offeror certifies that, if awarded a contract, Contractor will comply with all applicable provisions of The Drug-Free Workplace Act, Title 44, Chapter 107 of the South Carolina Code of Laws, as amended. Right to Protest A. A prospective bidder, offeror, contractor, or subcontractor who is aggrieved in connection with a solicitation shall protest to the Chief Business Official within fifteen days of the date of issuance of the Invitation For Bids or Requests for Proposals or other solicitation documents, whichever is applicable, or any amendment to it, if the amendment is at issue. B. Any actual bidder, offeror, contractor, or subcontractor who is aggrieved in connection with the intended award or award of a contract shall notify the Chief Business Official in writing of its intent to protest within seven business days of the date that award or notification of intent to award, whichever is earlier, is posted. The actual protest must be filed within fifteen calendar days of the award or intended award. The protest must be submitted in writing to the Chief Business Official, Nancy Williams, 124 Risdon Way, DO @ R2i2-3rd Fl., Columbia, SC 29223 or emailed to procurement@richland2.org. The protest must be in accordance to section 4210 of Richland School District Two Procurement's Code. Specifications Richland School District Two will accept bids for Fermod(R) Mobile Shelving Units to be delivered and installed at Windsor Elementary School, 9800 Dunbarton Drive, Columbia SC 29223. BRAND NAMES. Where a brand-name or equal specification is used in this solicitation, the use of a brand name is for the purpose of describing the standard of quality, performance and characteristics desired and is not intended to limit or restrict competition. If a vendor proposes an "equal" to scope of work/specifications, RSD2 is the sole interpreter of the scope of work/specifications and sole judge as to whether the "equal" proposed complies with the scope of work/specifications. Vendor must deliver, assemble and install the new shelving, per Appendix III - Windsor ES Shelving Layout. The vendor shall provide all tools and labor to perform the services. All packing and crating material shall be removed from site.; no district dumpsters shall be used. Standard height loading dock available adjacent to kitchen with no dock plate or material handling equipment on site. There is limited on site work space. Specifications: Shelving to be constructed with extruded and anodized aluminum uprights and side rails. Shelving inserts must be polymer that can easily be removed without tools and cleaned. Shelves must be dish washer safe. Assembled with conical clamps that snap into pre-drilled holes in the uprights. Units must have lifetime warranty against rust and corrosion All shelving must be mobile (with casters) and must be rated at 250 lbs per shelf (minimum). Shelving must be NSF certified. All units must have lifetime warranty against rust and corrosion.
