Question Deadline 03/22/2024 The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding if such waiver is in their best interest and conforms to State and local laws pertaining to the letting of construction contracts, or to reject any or all bids. At the time that sealed bids are received, they will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately at the aforementioned location that they were received. The work involved will include the following: Base Bid: Improvements to the turf runway, Runway 8-26, to meet current Runway Safety Area (RSA) and Object Free Area (OFA) FAA standards. Items of improvement include 1) relocating the runway centerline approximately 20 feet south to remove a drainage ditch/swale on the north side of the runway from the RSA, 2) relocating the existing Runway 26 threshold approximately 180 feet to the west to remove the Runway 27 PAPIs from the RSA, 3) remove and re-grade soil south of the runway from the RSA, 4) add and re-grade soil west of the Runway 8 threshold to improve the RSA, 5) relocate the existing lighted wind cone from the OFA, and 6) remove and dispose of the existing wind-tee from the OFA.
