Site work, paving and renovation of a civil project in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

For deactivating one pump station one pump station, installing a duplex grinder pump and electrical service, 17,735 linear feet of 3" sewer force main with air relief valves, remove 15 vertical feet of cast in place manholes, install 25 vertical feet of pre-cast manholes, repair 4 manholes for leaks at inlet 6" PVC, remove and replace 4,400 feet of 6" PVC gravity sewer line, remove and replace 2,700 linear feet of 4" service line, remove and replace fences driveway repair and street repair. Bid security in the form of a cashier's check only (relative to other types of checks), drawn on a bank or trust company doing business in Arkansas, or a corporate bid bond in favor of the Westwood Village Sewer Facilities Board and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required on bids exceeding $20,000 and must be submitted with the bid. Bids may not be withdrawn within 90 days of opening. A performance and payment bond written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in Arkansas, in the amount of the contract, will be required on all contracts in excess of $20,000. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities and to, in the opinion of the Owner accept the bid that is in the Owner's best interest. The contractor must comply with Davis Bacon wage rates, all laws, regulations, directives and rules. Qualified (conditional) bids will be subject to rejection. Bidders are expected to inspect the work site and inform themselves of local conditions. Bidders must be prepared, if requested by the Owner, to submit additional information such that the Owner can determine responsibleness. The Owner encourages the participation of disadvantaged, small, minority, and woman owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services, and construction, either as contractor or subcontractor. Certification by a government agency is required for recognition as such an entity. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to: Engineers, Inc., 2200 Airport Rd, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913, and to be given consideration must be received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
