The Housing Authority encourages minority and resident owned businesses to participate. A. SITE LOCATION AND CONDITIONS 1. The Vail Apartments are located at 217 South Grand Avenue in Pueblo, Colorado. It is a 5-story occupied apartment building. 2. The chiller is in a fenced area on the west side of the building, adjacent to the building at street level. The pumps are in the building's basement. 3. Tenant notification is required when shutting down the parking lot and our street adjacent to the building for crane setup. B. SCOPE OF PROJECT 1. Remove and replace existing 100-Ton chiller, pumps and piping with 100-ton electric refrigerant chiller, chilled water pumps as well as associated piping and valves at the chiller and pumps. 2. Replace existing glycol feeder pumps and install new backflow. 3. Remove and replace miscellaneous piping, insulation, gauges, and valves. 4. Remove and replace existing decorative fencing and around chiller. 5. Add alternates 1,2 and 3 for below grade pipe and electrical replacement, 1. replace air cooled screw chiller (single circuit electrical) with scroll chillers (4 - 25 ton). 2. replace chiller pumps and associated equipment (expansion tank, air separator glycol feeder, etc.) 3. replace hydronic piping at chiller and associated valves, thermostats, pressure gauges, etc. insulate piping per iecc. 4. after substantial completion and pinch list, provide 1-2 hour training with maintenance staff. coordinate with owner. confirm accessibility strainers and valves to owners representative. alternates - add alternate #1: - replace underground 4" chilled water piping with polyethylene (pe). add alternate #2: - replace the electrical wiring only from the mdp to the final connections at chiller. add alternate #3: - replace underground conduit and the electrical wiring and includes wiring as in alternate #2. Completion- 60 calendar days
