Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 82,882-square-foot, eight-story above grade municipal facility.
Reference Number 0000265683 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/03/11 05:00:00 PM EDT The National Capital Commission (NCC) recently acquired the existing building at 80 Elgin Street, with the intent to renovate and repurpose it, to relocate the NCC headquarters from its current location at 40 Elgin Street. The 8-storey building has an approximate Gross Floor Area of 7,700m2, and was built in the early 1960s. MP Lundy Construction will provide Construction Management services for the retrofit and lifecycle renewal of the building. The project is to be designed and constructed to align with industry standards for design and sustainability excellence, including the WELL Standard (WELL v2). Tendering of various packages (including pre-purchasing of Mechanical & Electrical long lead equipment) has already commenced, and interior selective demolition work is commencing in February 2024. The Mechanical and Electrical tender is anticipated for May 2024 with work to commence immediately upon contract award.
