Site work and paving for a civil project in Topeka, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project will consist of mill and overlay, localized base patching, and curb replacement. The project also includes upgrades to traffic signals at both SW 29th and SW 38th. The signal replacements are funded by general obligation bond funding. Staff anticipates minor right of way acquisition in 2025 and a minor impact to utilities during construction. Construction is programmed in FY2026-2027. The project includes extensive work on curb/gutter, signals, and medians. The project is include in the City of Topeka's FY 2025-2034 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). An engineer has been selected for the project. Construction is estimated to take place in 2026-2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
