The City of Pasadena Public Works Department is requesting bids from qualified firms for the Building Systems and Fleet Management Division to provide comprehensive fire and security alarm system services at all locations listed in the Bidders Proposal section of this document. The City may from time to time, without invalidating the Contract, add, delete, or change any of the locations. The Contractor shall furnish all supplies, materials, labor, tools, equipment, and transportation, and perform all operations necessary to monitor, inspect, test, certify, and repair fire and security alarm detection systems and fire sprinkler systems in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 25 and NFPA 72 standards. Such systems include but are not limited to; smoke detectors, pull stations, wet/dry pipe sprinklers, fire pumps, Halon Suppression System, and all other associated components. Question Submission Deadline:March 25, 2024, 3:00 pm Performance Bonds Required: 100% Labor & Materials Bonds Required: 100% Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids. If the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall for fifteen (15) calendar days after such award fail or neglect to enter into the contract and file the required bonds, the City may deposit in its treasury said bid security and, under no circumstances, shall it be returned to the defaulting Bidder. Electronic Bid bond is required. Bidders must submit all required information for the city to verify the bond with their bid . The bond must meet the following requirements and characteristics: A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a redeemable or callable electronic surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids. If there is a Non-Mandatory pre-bid meeting, bidders not required to attend. Each prospective bidder will have the opportunity to clarify and ask questions regarding these Specifications. The Pre-bid Meeting will be held at the time, date, and location in the Timeline of this solicitation. The deadline to submit questions related to this solicitation. Questions regarding this solicitation should be submitted directly through the Citys eProcurement Portal . Do not contact any other City employee or official regarding this solicitation. Any questions submitted after the date and time specified may not be considered. Bidders must possess and provide the following license(s) or certification(s) to be deemed qualified to perform the work specified: Valid C-10 and Alarm Company Operator licenses issued by the California State Contractor License Board.
