Site work for a municipal facility in Oneonta, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

As of April 9, 2024, the project was awarded to Hogan Contracting, with an awarded amount of 7,433.40. Project: Broome DDSO- West St Exterior Stairs The exterior stair at 64 Homer Folks is in such bad repair that it has been taken out of service. The authority having jurisdiction for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) has determined that this stair is not needed to meet the evacuation rating of the house. For this reason, OPWDD is seeking a responsible vendor who will remove the stairs and fill in the associated door per the attached scope of work. SCOPE OF WORK: Remove the stairs along with associated roof and landing shown in the picture below and dispose of all debris appropriately. All concrete pillars that the posts are resting on need to be removed and ground restored. Brick work shall be repaired and restored where stair assembly has been mounted to wall. Exterior door at top of stairs shall be removed and infilled. On the outside of where the door used to be, brick veneer shall be installed to match existing wall as close as possible. On the inside, the opening shall have studs installed according to code and commonly accepted building practices. Studs shall be insulated with not less than r-15 fiber glass insulation and covered with sheet rock. Sheet rock shall be finished and painted to match adjoining walls. All work areas shall be guarded appropriately to ensure that no individuals receiving care can get hurt. In particular, the doorway to the stairs must be blocked up before the stairs are removed. OPWDD Safety plan for the work must be always followed. All work shall be done according to all applicable codes, OSHA safety regulations, and standard building practices. All installed materials and workmanship shall be warrantied for a period of one year from the date that the state has paid for the completed work. CR Number: 2107492 Note contractor is to provide and supply a 1-year warranty on material and labor. Site visit : Please be sure to sign the sign in sheet (provided by the Maintenance staff conducting the site visit). The sign in sheet is a separate entity from the resident visitor's log. When signing in, be sure to check the project name listed on the sign in sheet to ensure you are recording your attendance correctly. Failure to do so will cause you to be ineligible to submit a quote. There are no exceptions. Please write clearly for corresponding purposes and make sure you include an email address and phone number where you can be reached. Method of Award: This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Upon request, vendor must demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and its subject to vendor responsibility determination. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. Please note, all staff working at the project site will be required to sign an attendance sheet for record purposes. This includes the residence visitor log and/or an attendance sheet provided by the Maintenance Department. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest. Prevailing Wages: Schedule PRC #: 2024002595 NYS Labor law requires that all contracted employees performing maintenance, repairs or capital improvements in state owned buildings receive the prevailing wage and supplements rate for the occupation in which they are working. Certified payroll record/s MUST be submitted at the time of invoicing. . Without submittal of certified payroll record/s, payment will not be made. Information on prevailing wage can be found electronically. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject any quote which does not reflect the correct prevailing wages in accordance with the provided wage schedule. Tabulation of quotes will be posted to the listings on NYS Contract Reporter along with the award.
