This contract: (Part A) will include the installation of +-2,800 LF of 8" DIPS HDPE DR11 waterline, +-3,800 LF of 6" DIPS HDPE DR11 waterline, and related appurtenances. (Part B) will include the installation of a gravity sewer system involving 26 manholes, +-2,800 LF of 12" PVC SDR26 pipe, +-2,900 LF of 8" PVC SDR35 pipe, +-300 LF OF 8" PVC SDR26 pipe, and related appurtenances. Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, and reclamation necessary to complete the construction of the water and sewer facilities described in the contract documents and plans. Time of completion for this contract is 180 calendar days. Minority bidders are encouraged to bid. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered with SAM.gov. Funding will be provided by the Knott County Fiscal Court. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Knott County Fiscal Court in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date bids are opened. He may, however, withdraw his bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Knott County Fiscal Court is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all the materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, tools, supervision, labor, insurance, and other accessories and services necessary to complete the said project in accordance with the BID, the Contract Documents, and the Specifications prepared by the Engineer for the Chestnut Ridge Phase 1 Water and Sanitary Sewer Project. The asphalt concrete paving replacement work includes the construction of an aggregate base course, asphalt binder and wearing courses to match existing courses and as specified herein. This work is to replace paving disturbed by the construction and any damages to paving by Contractors operations, as well as new pavement and driveways, within the limits shown on the plans
