The City of Rosenberg is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for Request for Quotes (Annual Fire Apparatus Pump Testing - NFPA 1911). Scope of Work Summary This Scope of Work outlines the requirements for the annual fire apparatus pump testing for the City of Rosenberg, Texas. The testing shall be conducted in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1911 standard. Detailed Specifications The following specifications shall be met during the fire apparatus pump testing: The testing shall include all six (6) fire apparatus pump(s) owned by the City of Rosenberg Fire Department. The testing shall be performed in accordance with the requirements specified in the NFPA 1911 standard, latest edition. The testing shall be conducted by a qualified and experienced contractor who specializes in performing fire apparatus pump testing. The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, tools, and materials required to perform the pump testing. The contractor shall ensure that all testing procedures and equipment meet the current standards as prescribed by the NFPA 1911 standard. The contractor shall provide a detailed report for each pump tested, including all relevant data, test results, and recommendations for any repairs or maintenance required. The testing shall be conducted at a location designated by the City of Rosenberg Fire Department. The contractor shall coordinate with the Fire Department to schedule the testing at a mutually agreed-upon date and time. The contractor shall follow all safety protocols and guidelines during the testing to minimize risks to personnel and equipment. The contractor shall provide proof of insurance coverage, including general liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and automotive liability insurance, prior to commencing the testing. Service Requirements The contractor shall perform the following services during the fire apparatus pump testing: Inspect all pump components, including but not limited to the pump body, impeller, volute, shaft, seals, bearings, and valves. Perform flow testing to determine the rated capacity of each pump. Conduct pressure testing to ensure the pump operates within the specified pressure range. Check and test the accuracy of pressure gauges, flow meters, and other instrumentation on the pump. Inspect and test the pump control systems, including switches, valves, and gauges. Inspect and test the pump primer system, if applicable. Inspect and test the pump's suction and discharge connections. Conduct a performance test to evaluate the overall efficiency and functioning of the pump. Provide a detailed analysis of the test results, including any recommendations for repairs or maintenance required to ensure the pumps' optimal performance. Delivery Requirements The contractor shall provide the following deliverables to the City of Rosenberg Fire Department: A detailed report for each pump tested, including all relevant data, test results, and recommendations. Any documentation required to validate the testing procedures and results. Evaluation Criteria The City of Rosenberg will evaluate proposals based on the following criteria: Compliance with the NFPA 1911 standard and other relevant industry standards. Competitive pricing. Timeliness and reliability of project execution and delivery. Capability to provide detailed reports and recommendations for pump maintenance and repairs.
