SCOPE OF CONTRACT (a) Description of Work. This project will include the installation of an arsenic filtration system on the water distribution system at the St. Regis Work Center. In general, the work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: 1. Installation of arsenic filtration system. The project includes two new arsenic filters with automatic backwash capabilities, and all associated valves, fittings, piping, etc. 2. Installation of arsenic backwash waste disposal. The project includes the installation of a sump pit and sump pump within the pump house to dispose of the periodic backwash of the filtration system. The backwash will be pumped by the sump pump to a bank of infiltration filters outside the 100-ft well setback area. NOTE: Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits necessary to complete this project.
