Site work for a water / sewer project in Gainesville, Florida. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

A hot water conversion strategy is being implemented within the Holland Law Chilled Water Plant (CWP #7) and associated buildings, which include the Holland Law area, Springs Residence buildings, and the Basketball Practice Facility. This conversion consists of new condensing hot water boilers and distribution piping to provide heating hot water to the connected buildings. To accommodate the new Holland Law Plant improvements, physical modifications are necessary, most notably a new rated wall and egress between the chiller room and new boiler room. System revitalization of the Plant will include a new magnetic bearing chiller and a transition to a variable primary system to meet the utility production and distribution needs. Skid mounted plate and frame heat exchangers will be installed in the connected buildings to prepare for the new heating source. Energy efficiency improvements within the buildings will include adjustments to Holland Hall air handling unit #2, fan coil, controls, and building envelope upgrades across the Spring Residence buildings, LED lighting upgrades, and minor water fixture upgrades. Contingent upon grant funding, this project is also investigating the creation of a microgrid in the Holland Law district inclusive of a new solar-covered parking area. Project Budget: $4,856,719
