Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Mercier, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Upgrades and repairs to Sainte-Philomène church and its presbytery for their transformation into a multifunctional community centre. The scope of work includes repairing the damage caused by the 2019 fire and transforming the building into a community center including premises and a hall with a 150-seat stage. Some of these premises will be reserved and adapted to the needs of the community organization Société Saint-Vincent-de-Paul / Guignolée de Mercier and the Marmitons de Mercier. The City also plans to set up a volunteer space in front of the church. TIMELINE: Project design was completed. The owner has issued and awarded a tender for the general contractor that is not followed in the report under CRM ID name Transforming Église Sainte-Philomène into a Community Centre. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
