Herbicide application to target Wineberry (Rubus phoenicalasius) at Claytor Lake State Park and Autumn Olive (Elaeagnus umbellate) at Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Bidders may bid on one or both Scopes of Work. Optional site visits can be arranged--see solicitation documents for contact information. The purpose and intent of this program is to conduct a one-time solicitation to obtain a fixed per-acre price for herbicide application to control invasive species found within two of Virginia's State Parks. The contractor shall provide herbicide, materials, equipment, insurance, labor, and supervision for this project. Water (carrier) will be available to the contractor at each location. All questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to Cristina Garcia, (804) 625-3973 or cristina.garcia@dcr.virginia.gov prior to 72 hours ahead of the closing date of the solicitation so that ample time is allowed for any potential change in the Scope of Work. *****CONTRACTOR MUST POSSESS A CURRENT PESTICIDE BUSINESS LICENSE AND VALID APPLICATOR'S CERTIFICATION WHICH MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THEIR BID IN eVA***** Work must be scheduled with DCR's representative no later than 7 (seven) days After Receipt of Award (ARO). Spraying for Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius) shall take place during the period May 1, 2024 through June 10, 2024. Spraying for Autumn Olive (Elaegnus umbellate) shall take place during the period of May 1, 2024 through June 10, 2024. Dates must be arranged with the project manager prior to beginning work. DCR requests an invoice immediately upon completion of the work to ensure payment is made prior to the completion of FY2024. Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for (60) days. At the end of the (60) days the bid may be withdrawn at the written request of the bidder. If the bid is not withdrawn at that time it remains in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled.
