The project is titled "Newburg Road New Sidewalk Construction" is located on Newburg Road between Larkmoor Lane and Animal Services Drive and includes the installation of new sidewalk, curb, entrances, and drainage considerations. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. DBE GOAL: 6% Question Deadline 03/18/2024 at 3:00 PM ET Deadline to submit Questions Online. Bidder is required to furnish a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of its Total Bid. This may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check. No personal checks will be accepted. The Bid Bond shall be supplied at the time of the Bid opening. The successful Bidder must submit a performance bond satisfactory to the Metro Government executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as it may be increased. The successful Bidder must submit a payment bond satisfactory to the Metro Government, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the Bidder or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in this Bid. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the original contract price. Metro Government may reject Bids, award contracts, waive what it concludes in its discretion are minor problems with Bids, including but not limited to formalities or technicalities. The Metro Government may consider any alternative Bid which meets its budget.
