The project scope is to re-route an existing ditch into a new detention basin using storm drain piping and open ditch excavation. The work required will include but not be limited to: clearing & grubbing, grading, storm drain, erosion control, and paved surfaces removal and repair, and all other work required as shown on the Construction Plans and in the Contract Documents and Specifications. The outside of said envelope shall bear the Bidders Name, and Certificate of Responsibility Number and shall be Addressed to: The Honorable Mayor and Board of Alderman, City of Flowood, 2101 Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232; or, 2) Electronically at Online. The total Contract Time will be 160 consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages at $500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
