Reference Number 0000266070 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/03/22 03:00:00 PM EDT The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is a non share capital corporation without share capital. Among its responsibilities are the management, operation and maintenance of Toronto Pearson International Airport. Toronto Pearson International Airport is Canada's busiest airport moving more than 45 million passengers a year with over 500,000 aircraft movements. Toronto Pearson is seeking to put the joy back into travel by making YYZ the chosen place to fly and Services. The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is the entity which manages and operates the airport. This Scope of Services includes snow removal services for approximately 64km2 (at the time of issuance of the Request for Proposals) of Apron paved asphalt provided, however, the size and location of the Apron areas may change or increase or decrease during the term of the Contract based on GTAA's discretion and its operation, management, and development of the Airport. It is the GTAAs intent to award the Services stated in this Annex A to one or more Contractor(s) however it shall be at the GTAA's sole discretion to award more than one contract for the Services. The Contractor shall perform the Services described in the Contract, including Annex A which provides general requirements that the Contractor shall comply with for all portions of the Services for Apron Snow Removal. The Annexes describe the specific Services to be delivered by the Contractor, the procedures that it must follow when dealing with the GTAA and the overall expectations of the GTAA pertaining the Services. The GTAA is responsible for Snow Clearing & Grounds Maintenance on the entire Toronto Pearson property and surrounding roadways on the Airport. The GTAA must also adhere to regulations regarding snow piling on the Airside as outlined in TP312 of the Transport Canada, Advisory Circular (AC) No. 302-013, Airport Winter Maintenance. In addition, due to weather related events and the fact Toronto Pearson is Canada's busiest airport and an airline Hub, the GTAA may require that Contractors supply additional resources which would be deployed to maintain a safe operating environment for the airport community and the travelling public. The current method utilized for resource deployment for snow removal is based on weather events and their severity, whereas grounds maintenance is performed on a schedule for each designed zone.
