**As of May 28, 2024, the project was awarded to JCI Construction, Inc. in the amount of $2,037,762.20.** The purpose of this project is to widen and improve approximately .38 miles of East German Lane in Conway, AR. This project consists of Clearing and Grubbing, Earthwork, Stone Backfill, PCC Base Course, ACHM Surface Course, Curb & Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk, Storm Sewer, Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, Wheelchair Access Ramps, Maintenance of Traffic, Concrete Driveways, Erosion Control Items, and Misc. Items Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to City Engineer, 100 East Robins Street Conway, Arkansas 72032 Proposalsshall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national orstate bank in an amount not less than five per cent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to City of Conway, Arkansas, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract to him. The notice of award of Contractshall be given by the Owner within sixty (60) daysfollowing the opening of bids. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and a separate payment bond upon the forms provided herein in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or othersurety orsureties acceptable to the Owner. The attention of biddersis called to the fact that Act 150 of 1965 (as amended), Arkansas Statutes,states that a Contractor must be licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors before he may undertake work when the cost thereof in Arkansasis Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) or more. The Contractor agrees to begin work within ten (10) calendar days after issuance by the Owner of a Work Order or Notice to Proceed and to complete the work within two hundred and fifty-eight (258) calendar days thereafter The City of Conway reservesthe right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the proposal deemed to be in their best interest.
