The Town is seeking a vendor to provide twenty (20) GE Powervac PV-VL 13.8-750 Load Bus Bottle Assembly Replacement and Bus Refurbishment for the Wallingford Electric Division Substation East Street 13M in Wallingford, CT 06492. Clarification Deadline: 4/9/2024 5:00 PM Questions concerning the work requirements of this bid should be submitted Electronically. Verbal inquiries and any subsequent verbal responses will not be binding to the Town of Wallingford. Answers to questions will be posted on the Purchasing Portal or via an addendum emailed to all registered bidders who have obtained the bid online. Breakers shall be delivered and installed in the East ST 13M, (195 East St. Wallingford CT. 06492) substation on an agreed period after a purchase order is issued. Within this document Wallingford Electric Division will be abbreviated to WED Proposals are to be: Delivered to the Purchasing Department, Room 206, Town Hall, 45 South Main Street, Wallingford, Connecticut, 06492. Submitted in duplicate unless otherwise indicated in the specifications. Submitted using the blank proposal forms furnished. Submitted in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked as a public bid including the bid number and the bidders name and address. Made out and signed in the corporate, or other, name of bidder and signed by an authorized person to fully and properly execute the bid. Proposals received later than the time and date specified for the bid opening will not be considered. Amendments to or withdrawal of proposals received later than the time and date set for the opening will not be considered. In order to be considered, exceptions to the bid must be made on the exceptions page or a clearly marked attachment. The Town of Wallingford may require further information and references on any individual or company placing a bid prior to the awarding of a bid. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to amend and/or cancel the bid invitation prior to the time and date of the bid opening. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to correct an award erroneously made as a result of a clerical error on the part of the Town of Wallingford. A contract shall not be awarded to any corporation, firm or individual who has an unpaid and overdue debt to the Town by nonpayment of taxes, by debt or contract, or who is in default as surety or otherwise by any obligation to the Town.
