No residential or geographical restrictions will be in effect for this project. Applicable Federal requirements take precedence over State and local requirements unless state and local requirements are deemed to be more stringent. The Owner is Jefferson County, and the work site is located in the Town of Philadelphia. The projects limits extend from 150 feet south and 150 feet north of the structure at Indian River Tributary along County Road 30. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: removal of existing 28 ft long by 10 ft span by 4 ft tall concrete culvert, placement of a new 31 ft. 3 in long by 15 ft span by 6 ft tall precast concrete box culvert, new precast concrete end sections and cut-off walls, heavy-stone fill placement, approach work, and guiderail installation. The proposed work will be performed while traffic is maintained via an offsite detour. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The work shall be completed within 75 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and no later than November 22, 2024. Jefferson County reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids.
