Contractor shall furnish labor, materials, equipment to install hardware, wiring, and programming to existing PIV security system to install automatic door openers, electrified locksets/strikes, ADA push plates, PIV card readers, and any additional components needed to complete the project onsix (6) existing doors and any/all other items outlined in the Statement of Work. Place of Performance: Acute Care Clinic (ACC) Building 30 at the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPICS), located at Tripler Army Medical Center, 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu, HI 96819 The Contractor shall provide complete construction services for Project No: 459-24-003 Install Automatic Door Opener and Closer Hardware, at the Acute Care Clinic (ACC) Building 30 at the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPICS), located at Tripler Army Medical Center, 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu, HI 96819. In accordance with the attached Basis of Design and drawings. Contractor shall furnish labor, materials, equipment to install hardware, wiring, and programming to existing PIV security system to install automatic door openers, electrified locksets/strikes, ADA push plates, PIV card readers, and any additional components needed to complete the project on six (6) existing doors at ACC (see attachment for door locations). For the PIV card readers, additional components could include but are not limited to (hardwired HID/Sign) readers, new control panel, GCM board, ACM board, power supply, backup batteries, any other hardware/software related). Any doors with existing card readers must be restored back to original function at the end of every workday. Any door removed to be worked on must be placed back and functional by the end of every workday. ADA push plates shall be installed in area such that the user does not have to move out of the way of the doors swing once activated. Record brand products preferred. Record-USA 8100 Series Swing Door Heavy Duty Operator preferred for door opener/closure. Contractor to submit all products to COR for approval prior to ordering or installing. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure products are compatible with existing conditions and all to other parts. The VA will not be responsible for any costs should different products need to be ordered. Contractor to coordinate with VA Safety & Security and OIT for integration of the PIV card reader activations thru the COR. The Contractor shall coordinate work with Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Work may commence AFTER normal business hours. Normal business hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Saturday. Weekend work needs to be requested at least two weeks in advance. Coordinate with COR access to Electrical/Communication Rooms as necessary in advance. Escort required in Communication rooms. Project subject to applicable requirements of the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) & PreConstruction Risk Assessment (PCRA). Period of performance is 120 calendar days. Contractor shall warranty their workmanship for one year post project acceptance. Contractor shall conduct TB risk assessment and provide documentation that employee(s) have been cleared to work at VAPIHCS facility. This will be of no cost to the Federal Government.
