Charlie Butler Road Water Tower and Highway 84 Water Main. Complete Construction & Start-up September 4, 2025 One or more firms that respond to the RFP and who are determined by the City of Midway to be especially qualified may be deemed eligible and may be invited to discuss and negotiate for this project. All respondents to the RFP are subject to instructions communicated in this document and additional terms and conditions listed in the City of Midways RFP. The City of Midway reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities at the discretion of the City of Midway. The scope of work will include the design of a new 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank on the property owned by the City of Midway along Charlie Butler Road. The scope will also include the design of a water main extension along U.S. Highway 84 to connect the existing elevated water storage tank located at 10490 East Oglethorpe Highway to the existing 12" water main near Industrial Boulevard. Sketches of the proposed improvements are shown in Appendix A of this Request for Proposals. The City of Midway is currently seeking requests for proposals from qualified design firms for the design a of an elevated storage tank and water main extensions in Midway, Georgia area. Services will include the full assessment of the existing conditions and potential site of the Project, the total design of the Project based on the firm's full assessment and findings, permitting, preparation of construction plans, prepare all documentation and processes required to bid the Project for construction, contract administration, construction management and observation and closeout of the Project. The City anticipates Firm will be comprised of a single corporate referred to as the "Design Firm." Potential respondents must be a Georgia certified Engineering Firm with experience in elevated storage tank design to sign off on all components of the elevated storage tank and appurtenances, including but not limited to any required pumps, piping, pump control systems, SCADA, backup systems, auxiliary power, enclosures and site improvements. City's representative will serve as the Criteria Engineer for this project. Questions must be directed in writing to Lynette Osborne, City Clerk. Questions will be answered via addendum only.
