The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: The Waterford Sewer Interceptor Relocation project in Cartersville, Georgia includes the installation of approximately 442 linear feet of 36-inch PVC; 49 linear feet of double barrel 24-inch DIP; 296 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer; Creek crossing; 4 new manholes; and 2 precast catch basins with precast manhole tops to replace an existing 36-inch diameter RCP sewer. Abandonment includes grout filling portions of the existing sewer and the removal of one 36-inch diameter aerial crossing and one 8-inch diameter aerial crossing. Both aerial crossing removals are to include restoration of the creek banks. This project also includes removal of trees along the easement and replacement of the existing driveway at 473 Waterford drive. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. NOTE: The Contractors Affidavit for Electronic Verification of Work Authorization Programs form (E-Verify) shall be executed and submitted as part of the bid package. Contractor's Bid will be considered non-responsive without conformance to E-Verify requirements. The check or money order shall be made payable to RINDT, Inc. The Owner is not obligated to consider a Bidder's proposal, if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. The time allowed for Substantial Completion from the date of Notice to Proceed is 90 consecutive calendar days. The project has a maximum time for total completion which shall not exceed 120 consecutive calendar days from the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the Contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. , Surety and insurance companies must be listed in the Federal Registry of Insurance Companies Circular 570, holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid Opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the Owner. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, "Waterford Sewer Interceptor Relocation". If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the Purchasing Manager at the address previously given. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise.
