PREVAILING WAGES When applicable, the City is subject to the State of California prevailing wage laws as set forth in California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. The contractor is responsible for determining the appropriate Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) classification for the various employees and subcontractors used for a particular project or service. The City Council of the City of Redlands reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularity, and award contracts in the best interests of the City. Bid security, in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check made to the order of the City of Redlands, or a Bidder's Bond, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid is required to be submitted with each Bid. Said check or said bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into contract with the City of Redlands if awarded the work, and will be declared forfeited if the said bidder fails to enter into contract within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. The Bidder to whom award is made will be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount of 100% of the Bid amount, from a Surety Company satisfactory to the City of Redlands.
