Structural Pruning Only when specifically requested in the bid documents shall each bid be accompanied by a bid bond with surety satisfactory to the City or a Cashier's or a Certified Check, made payable to the City of Lynchburg. In the event of default by the Bidder, the deposit shall be and represent liquidated damages to the City. Bids received without a bid bond, when specifically requested, shall be rejected. Upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, the work shall be completed within 120 calendar days. Upon successful completion of the work, the City reserves the right to issue a contract for Tree Pruning Services for a one-year term with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. If a term contract is awarded, additional jobs may be assigned on an as needed basis at a price mutually agreed upon. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest Total Base Bid. The City reserves the right to remove Blocks for budgetary reasons.
