The intent of this Request for Qualification (RFQ) is to seek statements of qualifications (Responses) from parties (the Respondents) interested in providing construction services (the "Service") to build of a new trail in Campbell Valley Regional Park. More specifically, the intent of this RFQ is to short-list up to (3), three number of Respondents to participate in a Tender for construction services; however, the Corporation reserves the right to short-list a greater number of Respondents. The scope of this project is to build about 2.5 km of new trails in Campbell Valley Regional Park. The second phase of Perimeter Trail expansion will allow for more cycling and hiking opportunities in the park, while maintaining the service level for equestrians. Segments J, G and I go through different landscapes from forest to fields and mostly flat terrain. However, the forested sections are the most challenging where standard grading approaches such as cut and fill may be always being feasible to preserve the trees' roots system. In addition to building new trail, the work consists also consists of re-surfacing existing trails for other users (i.e.: convert an existing equestrian trail to a new cycling trail). Lastly, enhancements to the equestrian parking lot (Campbell Downs) are required to make it more usable by expanding its surface and improving drainage. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: 1. Stake out trail alignment (most of the trail has been cleared) 2. Trail alignment adjustment (some adjustment may be required following the initial stakes out of the trail of the trail) 3. Maintain existing signage and provide temporary access to the existing trails. 4. Environmental protection 5. Surface preparation, including cut and fill activities 6. Drainage including new culverts, swales and ditches. 7. Construction of the trail structure (including supply of the granular materiel) 8. Installation of geotextile and geogrid 9.
