The project includes the demolition and abatement of the existing Foster Elementary School located at 1800 Trailwood Drive 77339 Kingwood, Texas and constructing a new elementary school building. The campus is in a long-established neighborhood and is bound by the neighborhood green belt to the east. The new school will be designed to serve an enrollment of 800, with grades Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 5. The new building will be comprised of 1 double height and two-story elements to meet the Humble ISD design standards, and requirements of the school design. This includes a cafeteria and equipment. The buildings total square footage of approximately 122,000sf and are of masonry, metal wall panels (pac-clad), and steel construction. There is a concrete parking lot in this scope of work of 128 parking spaces and above ground detention. Along with landscaping and the drainage and sub surface for the playground. The playground equipment is not included in the scope of work. This project will have four bidding packages. The selected Construction Manager (CM) is to assist the District and their Architect, consultants and other professionals with pre-construction services, cost estimates, scheduling and selecting of building systems to build the project thereafter as a Construction Manager-at-Risk.
