Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project identified as TIP number BL-0038 is a Town-sponsored, federally funded roadway and pedestrian improvement project. The scope of work includes constructing new pedestrian facilities along E. Jones Street, between N. Main Street and N. Woodrow Street, with approximately 1,200 linear feet of new sidewalk, as well as curb and gutter installation. The project also involves minor roadway pavement work, striping, and storm drainage improvements. All interpretations related to this RFB must be submitted in writing to the Project Manager, Jennifer Mitchell, CFM, (jmitchell@fuquay-varina.org) by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. All responses to timely submitted requests for interpretation will be addressed in the form of an addendum. The final addendum will be posted to the Town website by 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The date of availability for this contract is the date the Contractor begins work but not before Notice to Proceed or later than December 16, 2024. The completion date for this contract is the date that is Two Hundred Thirty (230) consecutive calendar days after and including the date of availability. The liquidated damages for this contract are Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) per calendar day. At the preconstruction conference the Contractor shall declare his expected date for beginning work. Should the Contractor desire to revise this date after the preconstruction conference, he shall notify the Engineer in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the revised date. The bidder shall not add any provision reserving the right to accept or reject an award, or to enter into a contract pursuant to an award. The Town of Fuquay-Varina reserves the right to reject all bids.
