Edison Street Reconstruction (6th Avenue to 9th Avenue) City of Antigo In general, the project consists of the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Edison Street from 6th Avenue to 10th Avenue. The reconstruction section, between 6th Avenue and 9th Avenue, includes but is not limited to 2,025 lineal feet of water main, 2,020 lineal feet of sanitary sewer, 1,830 lineal feet of mainline storm sewer, 4,220 lineal feet of curb and gutter, 22,625 square feet of concrete sidewalk and driveway replacement, and 1,830 tons of HMA pavement, turf replacement, and related items. The rehabilitation section, between 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue, includes 1,575 square yards of pavement pulverizing, 370 tons of HMA pavement, 410 lineal feet of mainline storm sewer replacement, utility adjustments, restoration, and related items. A formal pre-bid meeting to examine the site will not be held. The site is public and may be viewed at the Contractor's convenience. A single prime bid will be received for the work. BID SECURITY Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the Bid Deadline. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Agreement and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. This project is funded in part by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development - Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). The attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, and Executive Order 11246. The contract is subject to Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates. We encourage DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, to submit bids. WAGE RATES Minimum salaries and fringes to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the prevailing wage rate scales established by the Federal Department of Labor. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and fringes set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applications for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other protected class.
