Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for the construction of a transportation facility.
Plans call for construction of a new bus garage in the community of Alyth/Bonnybrook/Manchester which will be built on two site. The project site is a 74-acre parcel, located east of Blackfoot Trail, west of 11th Street, divided by the proposed 50th Avenue S.E. Extension right-of-way. The Highfield Crescent site (1920 Highfield Cr SE.) is a 17.4-acre parcel located just east of 11 Street S.E., south of Highfield Crescent S.E., also divided by the proposed 50 Avenue S.E. Extension. The new facility will replace the Victoria Park Garage (1075 7 St. SE) which is expected to be decommissioned. TIMELINE: Project is in the second stage of master planning. The feasibility study is expected to be completed by mid-2026. Schedules for detailed design, tender and construction to be determined. *Cost is unreleased.
